Ranking the top 10 Indiana Pacers players of all time

8. Mark Jackson, PG (1994-96, 1997-2000)

Jackson spent the middle part of his 17-year pro hoops odyssey in Circle City, coinciding with when the Pacers were frequently quarreling with Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls and the disliked New York Knicks.

While orchestrating Indiana’s offense as part of a memorable lineup that included other players on this list, Jackson averaged 8.4 points and 8.1 assists per game.

The Pacers reached the postseason in each campaign that he finished with the team, including the team’s only NBA Finals appearance in 2000. Those six playoff appearances were almost as many as the team had in the 18 years before Jackson’s arrival.
