Malachi Fields transferring: 5 possible landing spots for WR

NC State might not jump out as a top destination for some of the bigger names in the transfer portal, but it ultimately could be a nice fit for Fields. The Wolfpack failed to meet expectations with a 6-6 regular-season record in 2024 but have upside going forward under Dave Doeren thanks in part to young quarterback CJ Bailey. NC State also has a talented freshman wideout with Noah Rogers, but adding another skilled pass catcher could be necessary with No. 1 receiver Kevin Concepcion transferring. Fields has a different skill set than Concepcion but would be a reliable, big-bodied target to aid in the continued development of Bailey. He also would be familiar with NC State’s offense as former Virginia offensive coordinator Robert Anae currently serves in the same role in Raleigh.
