Alabama quarterback options for 2025 college football season
Austin Mack
Mack was a four-star, top-250 prospect coming out of Folsom High School in California and committed to play for DeBoer while he was at Washington. The big 6-foot-6, 235-pound quarterback redshirted in 2023 and was one of DeBoer’s first transfer commits after he landed the head-coaching job at Alabama. Mack saw his first collegiate action this past November at the end of the Crimson Tide’s blowout victory over Mercer, completing 2-of-3 passes for 39 yards and a touchdown. Going back to his high school days, Mack threw for nearly 3,500 yards and 40 touchdowns in his final season at Folsom, consistently showcasing his strong arm. Mack lacks experience, but his arm talent and his closeness with DeBoer could give him an opportunity to earn the starting gig with a strong offseason.
