Yankees trying to move Marcus Stroman: 5 possible landing spots

NEW YORK (BVM) – The New York Yankees have had an eventful offseason bringing in Max Fried, Devin Williams and Cody Bellinger after losing Juan Soto to the New York Mets. Their transactions have created a crowded starting rotation and a high payroll.

Jon Heyman of the New York Post reported New York is looking to move Marcus Stroman, potentially for infield help. The 33-year-old is owed $18.3 million in 2025 and will have a $18.3 million player option for 2026 if he hits 140 innings pitched next season. Heyman also mentioned the Yankees are willing to include cash to facilitate a deal for the right-handed pitcher.

Stroman posted a 4.31 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP in 154 ⅓ innings in 2024.

These teams could be the most willing to take a chance on Stroman.
