2. Carson Beck to Miami

Beck is one of the most recent portal entrants and arguably the top player who became available this cycle. The 6-foot-4 signal caller was one of the best quarterbacks in the country at Georgia, throwing for nearly 4,000 yards in 2023 before passing for 3,485 yards and 28 touchdowns in 2024 with a 65% completion rate. While many thought Beck would enter the NFL draft, he decided to return to the collegiate level. His stay in the portal didn’t last long as he quickly transferred to Miami, the same school where his girlfriend, Hanna Cavinder, is a basketball star. Regardless of that connection, Beck is a major addition for the Hurricanes who are coming off a 10-win season in Mario Cristobal’s third year. Miami needed to replace Heisman finalist Cam Ward, and Beck has the same upside in Shannon Dawson’s offense.
