8. Clemson Tigers
Clemson could be in line for a second straight trip to the College Football Playoff next season and is an early ACC favorite. The hype surrounding the Tigers begins with quarterback Cade Klubnik who took a big step forward this past season with over 3,600 yards and 36 touchdowns through the air for the nation’s 12th-ranked offense. Klubnik’s top three wideouts, Antonio Williams, Bryant Wesco Jr. and T.J. Moore will also return.
Meanwhile, Dabo Swinney recently lured Tom Allen from Penn State to become the team’s next defensive coordinator. He’ll look to improve a unit that struggled at times in 2024 but returns several key players headlined by defensive end T.J. Parker. Swinney also finally dabbled into the transfer portal this offseason, further strengthening a talented roster. A Week 1 home date with LSU will set the tone early for Clemson, and a season-ending road game at South Carolina will also be crucial. However, the Tigers’ ACC slate sets them up for a playoff push regardless.
