Notre Dame quarterback options for 2025 college football season
Kenny Minchey
Minchey is an intriguing prospect who possesses some of the highest upside on this list. If he can put together a good offseason, he may have a chance to start Week 1 when the Fighting Irish take on Miami. Minchey is a good athlete, but his greatest attribute is his arm strength as he was described as a “gunslinger” during spring practices last year. His talent was also on full display during his high school career at Pope John Paul II in Tennessee. While he was limited as a senior due to injury, Minchey emerged as a four-star, top-200 prospect in the Class of 2023 with a strong junior campaign where he threw for 3,280 yards and 32 touchdowns. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound quarterback has completed just three passes for 16 yards thus far at Notre Dame but did score a rushing touchdown this past season against Purdue.
