The Stars would have been buyers before the trade deadline regardless, but now they have a chance to pull off a major move with Tyler Seguin’s contract on LTIR. Dallas has plenty of cap room for Granlund who would be a nice addition to the top of its lineup. It could try out various lines to see what works, but Granlund would undoubtedly be someone who could help the Stars in a postseason run.
