Nick Bolton’s free agency: 5 landing spots for Chiefs star LB
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (BVM) – Nick Bolton has played a significant role in the Kansas City Chiefs’ dominant run over the last few seasons that has seen the organization win two Super Bowl titles.
The linebacker has been the Chiefs’ leading tackler in three of his first four NFL seasons as a perfect fit in Steve Spagnuolo’s system. Now, Bolton will test free agency for the first time in his career as one of the top defensive players available this offseason.
Bolton has averaged eight tackles per game across four years with the Chiefs, with 106 total tackles in 2024. The 5-foot-11, 240-pound standout also had three sacks, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and an interception this past season.
Bolton, 24, is a hard hitter who particularly excels in the run game. His consistency, youth and championship experience should make him a hot commodity during free agency as he is expected to command a contract that pays him around $12 million per year.
