Nick Bolton’s free agency: 5 landing spots for Chiefs star LB

Seeing Bolton land with an AFC West rival like the Raiders would be a tough pill to swallow for Chiefs fans. However, it could become a reality thanks to Las Vegas having the second-most cap space in the league entering the offseason. That may allow the Raiders to outbid Kansas City and others for Bolton should they prioritize bolstering their linebackers group this offseason. The Raiders had a middle-of-the-road defense in 2024 under Antonio Pierce. They’ll likely lean on that unit again with defensive-minded Pete Carroll now in Las Vegas, particularly with their quarterback situation still uncertain. Bolton could be a perfect fit for Carroll similar to what Bobby Wagner was in Seattle. He’d also get to work with well-respected defensive coordinator Patrick Graham as a potential upgrade on free agent linebacker Robert Spillane.
