Nick Bolton’s free agency: 5 landing spots for Chiefs star LB

The Patriots are beginning a new era under Mike Vrabel and will do so with the most available cap space in the NFL. It wouldn’t be surprising to see New England’s front office get aggressive and pursue multiple top free agents available this offseason. While adding offensive weapons may be a higher priority, making a splash on defense is also possible and Bolton could be a prime target. The Patriots were far from the worst defense in the league in 2024 but ranked just 22nd in points and yards allowed per game, particularly struggling against the run. Linebacker may not be their biggest need, but the Pats could use more depth overall on their defense and a run-stopper like Bolton would be beneficial. He could ultimately prove to be a leader of Vrabel’s defense for multiple years as New England looks to rebuild back into a contender.
