HOUSTON (BVM) – Texas high school football is a billion-dollar business, so it’s no surprise that UIL state champion coaches earn higher salaries than others in their school districts.
Here’s a look at the total salaries of the UIL Texas high school football state champion coaches from the 2024 season, per public records available on GovSalaries. These 10 state champion coaches are ranked from lowest to highest paid (2A [I, II] through 6A [I, II]); 1A is left out because these schools don’t play 11-man football.
Editor’s note: These salaries are accessible because public schools are funded by taxpayer dollars. Keep in mind many of these coaches also serve as either teachers or athletic directors, which contributes to the higher salaries shown on this list. Booster club money is not included.
