3. Pete Maravich (1974-79)

Maravich was the first “Jazzman” ever signed and was part of the squad that played in New Orleans before the team moved to Salt Lake City in 1979. Nicknamed “The Pistol,” Maravich averaged 25.2 points, 5.6 assists, and 4.3 rebounds in 330 appearances with the Jazz. He remains the franchise’s all-time leader in triple-doubles with seven and ranks in the top 10 in a variety of stats including points, assists, steals, points per game and free throws made. Maravich was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1987.
