Top 10 freshman NCAA softball players of the 2025 season
3. Miali Guachino, RHP, Ole Miss
Many of the nation’s top freshman pitchers reside in the SEC and Guachino is staking her claim as the best of the bunch through the first half of the regular season. The Rebels are a top-25 team in large part thanks to their star pitcher who leads the team with a 1.60 ERA. The 5-foot-6 righthander from California also has 104 strikeouts across 70 innings of work, the second-most among freshman pitchers in the country and the fourth-most overall. Guachino has gone 9-4 for the Rebels while allowing opponents to hit just .199 against her. Senior hurler Aliyah Binford has also been strong for Ole Miss, but Guachino might be as important to her team as any player on this list and should help keep the Rebels afloat in a loaded SEC down the stretch.
