Top 10 New York high school baseball players in Class of 2025
6. Michael Oliveto, C, Hauppauge
Perfect Game tags Oliveto with an 8.5 player grade, meaning the Yale pledge is a “potential draft pick and/or excellent college prospect.” He’s rated the No. 16 backstop in the country by the same recruiting service and performed well enough during last year’s summer circuit to gain lots of attention.
Last month, Oliveto was named Axcess Baseball’s Preseason Player of the Year. He helped Hauppage to Suffolk and Long Island Class 2A crowns, bashing eight home runs and putting up a 1.328 OBPS. Oliveto also had 32 RBIs.
