Owen Freeman transferring: 5 landing spots for Iowa big man

Arkansas isn’t in dire need of a post player as things stand right now, but that could change in the coming weeks with John Calipari’s rosters typically enduring a fair amount of turnover. Despite an 0-5 start in SEC play, the Razorbacks have rallied to earn a No. 10 seed in the NCAA Tournament, led by forward Adou Thiero who is projected to be a first-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. If the Hogs’ leading scorer goes pro, Arkansas will likely need to add to its frontcourt, particularly with center Jonas Aidoo out of eligibility. Freeman feels like a nice fit playing for Calipari and joining Arkansas could help him gain more exposure than he had at Iowa. Even if Zvonimir Ivisic and Trevon Brazile return to Fayetteville next season, Freeman could take over the alpha role left behind by Thiero and may help Arkansas rise in the SEC.
