Gabe Cupps transferring from IU: 5 landing spots for HS sensation

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (BVM) – Gabe Cupps was supposed to be one of the next faces of Indiana Hoosier basketball, but after two seasons in Bloomington, the 6-foot-2 guard is entering the transfer portal.

The Centerville, Ohio, product was a high school star, winning the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association’s Mr. Basketball award twice. He also led his school to a state title victory as a sophomore in 2021 while racking up a large social media following.

Cupps did not make much of an impact as a freshman at Indiana and missed nearly all of his sophomore season due to injury. Cupps will have three years of eligibility remaining if he receives a medical redshirt for 2024-25.

These are the schools to watch during his transfer portal recruitment.
