Top 10 2025 NBA Draft prospects in the NCAA Tournament
2. VJ Edgecombe, G, Baylor
Baylor hasn’t had its best season, but the Bears have featured strong talent again in 2024-25 led by Edgecombe. The 6-foot-5, 180-pound guard will look to help the ninth-seeded Bears defeat Mississippi State in the opening round before potentially drawing a matchup with fellow freshman star and likely No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg and Duke. Like Flagg, Edgecombe has shown elite athleticism and special play-making ability this season. Perhaps Edgecombe’s greatest skills come defensively, and he has proven that at Baylor with 2.1 steals per contest. However, the skilled guard has also been impressive offensively, averaging 15 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists while shooting 43.5% from the field and 34.5% from deep. If his shooting continues to develop, Edgecombe could become a star at the next level as a likely top-five pick.
