Top 10 2025 NBA Draft prospects in the NCAA Tournament

3. Tre Johnson, G, Texas

Johnson hasn’t been the most efficient player in what will likely be his lone year at Texas, but his scoring ability has been impressive and could make him a top-10 pick in June. First, the skilled 6-foot-6, 190-pound guard will look to lead the Longhorns on a tournament run that begins with a First Four matchup against Xavier, and perhaps eventually a first-round game against a couple of draft prospects from Illinois if Texas wins in Dayton. Johnson is a big reason why the Longhorns snuck into the Big Dance, averaging 19.8 points, three rebounds and 2.8 assists. Johnson, who shoots 42.7% from the field and 39.2% from deep, has scored 20 points or more in 14 contests, highlighted by a 39-point outing against Arkansas in February. Impressive stat lines could be a theme for Johnson in the tournament, and perhaps also during his pro career.
