Davon Mitchell transferring: 5 landing spots for highly touted TE
NORMAN, Okla. (BVM) — Davon Mitchell is back on the market. Rated a four-star by 247 Sports in the 2024 class, the highly touted tight end didn’t see the field with Oklahoma after a bumpy freshman transitional period.
“He’d be the first one to tell you he was a non-factor all of fall camp,” Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables said last season. “He was a non-factor all of summer. He’s been a non-factor in spring ball. He’s a non-factor in winter conditioning. … But, like I said, everything is — he’s flipped the switch. He’s been getting after it.”
