Salaries of 2025 Texas HS boys basketball state champion coaches

8. Grant Long, Guyer Wildcats 

Long, who works in “Inclusion & Athletics,” earned a salary of $77,218 – a 40% higher wage than the average in the Denton Independent School District. 

The 2024-25 season marked Long’s 14th year as the head boys basketball coach. He led the 34-7 Wildcats to their first-ever Class 6A D-II title, the highest classification in the UIL.
