Salaries of 2025 Texas HS boys basketball state champion coaches

7. Brett Carr, Tatum Eagles 

Carr’s $77,300 salary was 52% higher than the average in the Tatum Independent School District. He also works as a science teacher.  

Over 23 seasons, he guided the Eagles to five state boys basketball championship appearances. He captured his first title with the 2025 UIL Class 3A D-I game – a fitting finale since Carr has decided to step away from coaching.
