Shivers Named Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Pittsburg State University graduate hurdler Zyra Shivers was selected the MIAA Track Athlete of the Week for women's track & field Tuesday (Apr. 21). Shivers posted the second fastest time in NCAA Division II in the 100-meter hurdles this season at the PSU Tune-Up Meet Sunday (Apr. 19). The Charlotte, N.C., native was clocked in a personal best 13.30 seconds in the race, the second fastest time in Pitt State history.
