The Pittsburg State University softball team will kick off its 2023 campaign as the Gorillas travel to Conroe, Texas to take part in the DII Spring Invitational. The three-day tournament begins Friday (Feb. 3) and runs through Sunday (Feb. 5).

Pittsburg State University head football coach Brian Wright has announced that 30 high school seniors have signed letters of intent to join the Gorillas for the 2023 football season. Additionally, six transfers have joined the Pitt State football team at the start of the Spring 2023 semester.

Pittsburg State University junior jumper Auna Childress was named the MIAA Field Athlete of the Week for women’s indoor track & field and sophomore hurdler T.J. Caldwell was named the MIAA Track Athlete of the Week for men’s indoor track & field Tuesday (Jan. 31).
