South Carolina will be without defensive back Quay’sheed Scott and running back Jawarn Howell against Oklahoma. Scott could return Nov. 7 against Texas A&M if follow-up tests are negative; Howell is out with a shoulder injury. Sick offensive lineman Dayne Arnett also won’t play.

By the Numbers
  • Howell has 18 carries for 104 yards this season.
  • South Carolina has won its last two games, beating Florida 38-19 and Tennessee 27-24.
Yes, But

Scott’s potential return against Texas A&M depends on his test results, so his availability is not yet certain.

Bottom Line

The Gamecocks head to Norman short-handed, with Scott’s possible return offering a near-term boost if he clears testing.
