Jalin Hyatt signs NIL deal with hotel brand World of Hyatt

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (BVM) – University of Tennessee wide receiver Jalin Hyatt has become a household name during his junior season. Not only is the Hyatt name recognizable around the world of football, but also in the hospitality industry as the Hyatt Hotels Corporation is one of the country’s leaders in the marketplace. Given Jalin Hyatt’s meteoric rise this season and the national recognition of Hyatt Hotels, it comes as no surprise that the two would come together.

On Tuesday, Hyatt Hotel brand World of Hyatt announced that it had reached a name, image and likeness agreement with Hyatt, becoming one of the first hotel brands to reach such a deal. Terms of the agreement include World of Hyatt providing gift cards to help each of the Tennessee football players’ families with hotel rooms for their upcoming bowl game, the Orange Bowl, in Miami, Florida. World of Hyatt is also providing the wideout the opportunity to visit Hyatt properties once the season is complete.

“We have been admiring Jalin’s talent and want him to experience the Hyatt way of travel as well as help the families of every teammate have a place to stay at the bowl game, so they feel cared for as they cheer their loved ones on from the sidelines,” Hyatt Chief Commercial Officer Mark Vondrasek said in a press release. “World of Hyatt is excited to team up with an exceptional student-athlete, and we look forward to the upcoming bowl game!”

“This Hyatt-Hyatt collaboration is more than a natural fit and it brings us all together when it really matters,” Hyatt said in the release. “The World of Hyatt team gave me the ability to create a deal that benefited my teammates and our families. That’s real, as those are the people I care about the most. Knowing my teammates’ families will all have help to be at the game, and that they are being cared for on the road is amazing.”

This deal is just one of many that the star wide receiver has added during his breakout junior campaign. Due to his increase in popularity, Hyatt has been able to procure a number of NIL agreements with top brands including Bose, Keller Williams Sports + Entertainment and Breaking T.

Following his record-breaking five-touchdown performance against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Oct. 15, Hyatt saw his On3 NIL Valuation grow from $276,000 on Oct. 11 to $611,000 as of Oct. 18, a growth of over 120%. As of Tuesday, Hyatt’s NIL Valuation sits at $818,000, which ranks No. 36 in the country in terms of valuation and No. 20 among college football players.

Hyatt’s social media presence has also grown since his breakout performance against the Tide. As of Tuesday, Hyatt has 128,000 followers, with 101,000 for his Instagram account and 27,000 for his Twitter account. This gives him a per-post value of $2,200, according to On3

The receiver broke out in a big way as a junior. After recording just 41 catches for 502 yards and four receiving touchdowns over his first two campaigns in Knoxville, Hyatt has caught 67 passes for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns in 12 games so far this season. His 15 touchdown receptions are the most in program history while his 1,267 yards are just 31 yards shy of the program record.

For his efforts, Hyatt was named one of three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the most outstanding FBS receiver. With his nomination, Hyatt also became the first Volunteer to ever be named a finalist for the award.

With his popularity reaching a fever pitch, Hyatt made sure to take care of those he cared about through his NIL deal with Hyatt Hotels. Given his popularity is at a fever pitch, don’t be surprised to see Hyatt once again make headlines in the near future.
