7-foot-1 Moussa Cisse enters transfer portal; Top 5 landing spots
STILLWATER, Okla. (BVM) – While Moussa Cisse hasn’t necessarily put up big numbers statistically through the first three years of his college basketball career, the 7-foot-1 center has proven to be a dominant force. That has been seen time and again over his past two seasons playing at Oklahoma State.
However, recently, Cisse announced his time in Stillwater, Oklahoma has come to an end, as he has officially entered the transfer portal.

The big man is just the latest Cowboys player to do so in recent days, joining Avery Anderson and Kalib Boone.
A native of Guinea, Cisse came to the United States in 2015 where he proceeded to play at the likes of St. Benedict’s Prep in New Jersey, Christ the King Regional in New York, and Lausanne Collegiate School in Memphis during his high school career.
As a five-star recruit coming out of high school, Cisse held plenty of Power 5 offers, but ultimately chose Penny Hardaway’s Memphis Tigers. In one season at Memphis, Cisse averaged 6.6 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks as a full-time starter, earning the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year award.
Following his freshman season, Cisse entered the transfer portal, eventually landing with Mike Boynton at Oklahoma State.

In his first season in Stillwater, the 7-foot-1 big man put up 7.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. Last season, despite dealing with an ankle injury, Cisse’s minutes increased as he put up similar averages of 6.8 points, eight rebounds and 1.9 blocks.

While not necessarily an offensive threat, Cisse has come up big time and again on the defensive side of the ball. Any college basketball team would be happy to have a 7-foot-1, 220-pound force in the middle, and as a result, Cisse already appears to have plenty of suitors in the transfer portal.
