5 possible landing spots for free agent OF Teoscar Hernandez
SEATTLE (BVM) – Rumors continue to swirl around many MLB free agents this offseason including Seattle Mariners outfielder Teoscar Hernandez.
Hernandez has spent eight seasons in the big leagues since debuting with the Houston Astros back in 2016. His MLB career blossomed after he was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays as he became an All-Star during a strong 2021 season in which he hit .296 with 32 home runs and 116 RBIs.
Last offseason, Hernandez was dealt from the Blue Jays to the Mariners where he continued to be a power-hitting threat at the plate, batting .258 with 26 home runs, 93 RBIs and a .435 slugging percentage.
Although Hernandez has a high strikeout rate and has proved to have flaws defensively, his ability to hit for power from the right side of the plate, particularly against left-handed pitching, is a valuable asset and should help him land a sizable contract during free agency this offseason. Here are five possible landing spots for Hernandez.
