Kirk Cousins’ free agency: 5 landing spots for veteran QB
MINNEAPOLIS (BVM) – Kirk Cousins looked to be on pace for a career year through the first half of the 2023 NFL season. However, late in the Vikings’ Week 8 contest against the Packers, everything changed as Cousins dropped back to pass, misstepped and crumbled to the ground.
Cousins tore his right Achilles tendon, a major setback for the 35-year-old quarterback which also effectively ended the Vikings’ playoff hopes. But, just four months removed from the severe injury, Cousins recently shared a video on social media showing him throwing and moving around quite well.

While brief, the encouraging video shows that Cousins might have something left in the tank as he enters free agency this offseason. The often overlooked quarterback has made the Pro Bowl three times in his six seasons in Minnesota and has amassed 39,471 passing yards and 270 touchdowns with a 66.9% completion rate in his career going back to his days in Washington.
The Vikings may look to re-sign their quarterback of the last half decade this offseason, but it’s also likely that Cousins will generate interest from several other teams that need a quarterback across the league. Here are five potential landing spots for Cousins in free agency.
