Santa Clara men’s cross country takes hilarious headshots
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (BVM) – Brace yourself before you check out the headshot photos on the Santa Clara cross country/track & field roster for the 2022-23 season. The Broncos were clearly having a bad hair/mustache day and maybe ran a little too hard before they took their headshots.
Here are several of the best photos that are giving off some serious Chad Powers vibes.
Alex Miley is having a stellar season this year as well as the rest of the Santa Clara XC team. The Broncos finished in seventh place during their first invitational of the season on September 3. Miley took home the individual title after running the 8K with a time of 24:56.7. Junior Dominic Baciocco also finished in the top 10. The Broncos are set for their second meet of the season on Friday.
Headshots are going viral
The silly headshots are an annual tradition that’s nothing new and have a tradition of being shared out by CITIUS MAG – their mission is to “create more stories that center the things that make this sport (running) one of the best, showcase the athletes and help usher in more new fans.”
The headshots have even gone viral on TikTok. A video posted by SB Nation less than a day ago has nearly half a million views with users having a laugh and also wondering if the photos are actually real.
Other NCAA cross country programs also got in on the viral photo fun including Luther College and Eastern Kentucky University – as shared via Twitter on Thursday by CITIUS MAG, seen below.
