Hopkins Tops NJIT and Stevens at Columbia

NEW YORK, NY – Hopkins won two of its three matches on Saturday at the Columbia Invitational. Hopkins beat NJIT and Stevens but fell to host and third-ranked Columbia. Hopkins opened the day with an 20-7 win over NJIT, sweeping all three weapons. The Sabre squad of Victoria Li, Josephine Chang and Lauren Prieur grabbed a 9-0 win. The Foil squad earned a 5-4 win, led by Czarina Alfonso’s three wins, including the clinching win. The Epee squad won 6-3 with Katelyn McShine winning all three of her bouts. JHU then beat Stevens, 19-8, and again swept all three weapons.…
