North Central College Cardinals Baseball

North Central College has announced the nine individuals who will comprise the 2022 induction class to the North Central Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place Saturday, Oct. 1, in conjunction with the College’s Homecoming festivities.

Earning their fifth consecutive American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award, the North Central College baseball team was awarded for its hard work in the classroom on Wednesday. The Cardinals are the only NCAA Division III institution to win both the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award and a conference title in each of the past five seasons.

Being named one of just three outfielders selected to the 2022 American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings NCAA Division III Gold Glove Team, sophomore Luke Lehnen becomes the second North Central College baseball player to earn a Gold Glove award in program history.

Becoming the first player in North Central College baseball history to be named a College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA) NCAA Division III Academic All-America member on multiple occasions, senior pitcher Luke Lamm was named to the third team for the second-consecutive year for his performance in the classroom and on the baseball field.

After earning three D3baseball.com All-Region selections this morning, Dom Listi, Luke Lamm, and Jason Shanner of the North Central College baseball team were named to American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings DIII All-Region 8 teams, the organization released Tuesday afternoon.
