North Central College Cardinals Women's Soccer

The North Central College women’s soccer team is advancing to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championship for the second-straight year after defeating the Wheaton College Thunder in last night’s 1-0 semifinal match inside Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.

The North Central College women’s soccer team secured its fourth College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) this week as Ellie Lochbaum earns her second CCIW Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week. The Cardinals came in at No. 3 in the United Soccer Coaches and No. 4 in NCAA Regional Rankings.

Following its historic regular season, the North Central College women’s soccer program found four of its student-athletes on the All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) teams while Ellie Lochbaum earned the distinction of Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year.

Completing regular season play, the North Central College women’s soccer team drew even with the Augustana College Vikings 1-1 at Thorson-Lucken Field Wednesday night.

As the regular season nears its end, the North Central College women’s soccer team finds itself ranked third in both the United Soccer Coaches poll and the NCAA Division III Region VIII rankings. The United Soccer Coaches released its poll on Tuesday while the NCAA announced its rankings on Wednesday.
