Top 5 New Mexico Lobos basketball players of all time
4. Kenny Thomas
Thomas left the Lobos in 1999 with the most rebounds (1,032) and the second-most points (1,931) and blocks (239) in school history. After leading UNM to four consecutive first-round NCAA Tournament victories, the 6-foot-7 power forward was drafted 22nd overall by the Houston Rockets in the first round of the 1999 NBA draft.
Thomas would go on to have a solid albeit unspectacular professional career, averaging 9.3 points and 6.9 rebounds over 15 seasons spent with three different teams. His best season was his first full season with the Philadelphia 76ers when he averaged 13.6 points and 10.1 rebounds, one of only 11 players to average a double-double during the 2003-04 season.
