Down 33-37 with just 18 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Fresno State quarterback Jake Haener found Jalen Cropper in the endzone for the go-ahead touchdown against No. 13-ranked UCLA. Haener threw for 455 yards as the Bulldogs upset the Bruins at the Rose Bowl. UCLA paid Fresno State $1.1 million to drop 11 spots in the rankings. The Bruins were coming off a win over No. 16-ranked LSU and were 11-point favorites against the Bulldogs.
Fresno State’s Jake Haener, who was dealing with hip pain all night, threw the game-winning TD against No. 13 UCLA with 14 seconds left.
