Shamrock Series: A look back at Notre Dame’s success over the years
2010: Notre Dame 27, Army 3
The second game of the Shamrock Series was another dominant performance for Notre Dame. In an unique setting at Yankee Stadium where the Fighting Irish donned their green-top uniforms, quarterback Tommy Rees – now the Fighting Irish’s offensive coordinator – threw for 214 yards while tight end Tyler Eifert hauled in four catches for 78 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, the defense stifled Army’s rushing attack, taking both teams to a 6-5 record on the season.
