Top 10 wide receiver duos in NFL history
10. Tom Fears and Elroy Hirsch, Los Angeles Rams
Playing together in the 1950s, Fears and Hirsch don’t have the numbers some tandems do on this list, but they were ahead of their time in a league that didn’t become predominantly pass-heavy until over half a century later. Playing together with the Rams from 1949-56, Fears and Hirsch combined for over 600 receptions and 10,500 yards, scoring 88 touchdowns. Following an 84-catch, 1,116-yard season by Fears in 1950, Hirsch recorded 66 catches, 1,495 yards and 17 touchdowns in 1951, numbers that were just not seen at the time.
