2. Patrick Roy, G (1996-2003)

Roy was traded to the Avalanche in 1996 and became the goalie for Colorado during its first two Stanley Cups. He is a Hall of Famer and considered one of the best goaltenders in NHL history. Roy won the Conn Smythe Trophy when the Avalanche won their second Stanley Cup. He averaged 2.28 goals against and a .917 save percentage while in Colorado. Roy is still a franchise leader in shutouts (37), saves (11,924) and goals against average.
