Mike Holmgren, Green Bay Packers to Seattle Seahawks

After a successful stint with the Packers that saw Green Bay win two NFC championships and a Super Bowl, Holmgren signed an eight-year contract with the Seahawks in 1999. The issue with that was Holmgren still had a year on his contract with the Packers and thus the Seahawks had to pay for his services.

To acquire Holmgren, Seattle sent its second-round pick in the 1999 NFL Draft to Green Bay. The deal worked out well for the Seahawks as he went 86-74 with six playoff appearances and an NFC championship over 10 seasons.
