AFC WEST

Derek Carr (Las Vegas Raiders) 

Carr held a 3.47 GPA while playing QB at Fresno State. He earned his degree in recreation administration and leisure services management in December 2013. His Wonderlic test score from the 2014 NFL Combine was 20/50 (below average).

Justin Herbert (Los Angeles Chargers) 

Herbert had a 4.01-weighted GPA while playing QB at Oregon. He graduated with a degree in general science before the 2020 NFL Draft. His Wonderlic test score from the combine was 39/50 (above average). 

Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs) 

Mahomes maintained a 3.91 GPA while playing QB at Texas Tech. He was a marketing major who didn’t get his degree after forgoing his senior year for the league, according to Britannica. His Wonderlic test score from the 2017 NFL Combine was 24/50 (average). 

Russell Wilson (Denver Broncos) 

Wilson maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA in college while he played minor league baseball in the spring and college football in the fall (between 2010 and 2011). He earned a bachelor’s degree within three years in broadcast/communication from NC State (2010) followed by his master’s in educational leadership and policy analysis from Wisconsin (2011). His Wonderlic test score from the 2012 NFL Combine was 28/50 (above average).
