Noah Sewell, other NFL siblings, dominate Day 1 of combine
Nick Herbig, LB, Wisconsin
Like Noah, Nick plays a much different position than his offensive lineman brother. During his three seasons with the Wisconsin Badgers, Nick recorded 137 tackles, 36 tackles for loss, 21 sacks, seven pass deflections, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 31 career games.
Nick obviously measured in smaller than his 6-foot-3, 330-pound brother at 6-foot-2 and 240 pounds, but that’s not a bad size for a projected edge rusher. This size also gave Nick an advantage in the 40-yard dash, the only testing he did during the combine, as he ran it in 4.65 seconds, much faster than his brother’s 5.41 40-yard dash in 2019.
Of course, the size again was a factor in the bench press where Nick put up 25 reps, just a few shy of his brother’s 29. Though he didn’t do too much on the field on Thursday, Nick set the table up nicely for his pro day later this month.
