Titans shopping Derrick Henry; top 5 landing spots for star RB
5. Chicago Bears
While the other teams on this list are contenders, it is possible Henry gets dealt to a team in rebuild mode like the Panthers or Bears. Chicago may not be the first place that comes to mind to land the star running back, but the Bears could try to make a splash move as they build an offense around Justin Fields this offseason. Chicago has the best salary-cap situation in the league, and will likely trade down from the No. 1 pick to acquire more draft assets. While they could use a pick to draft a younger running back like Bijan Robinson, it’s also possible they use picks to facilitate a trade for Henry.
David Montgomery is likely gone, and while Khalil Herbert is a nice young piece, Henry would still be an upgrade, and would allow the Bears to take some pressure off of Fields in the run game. The Bears boasted one of the top rushing attacks in the league last year, and with Henry and a couple of other pieces added to the mix, they could suddenly become a scary offense.
