Top 10 highest-rated HS boys basketball players since 2010

T-No. 4 – Harrison Barnes

Harrison Barnes’ 247 Sports profile shows that he has a player rating of 0.9999. The 6-foot-8 small forward from Ames High School (Iowa) graduated in the Class of 2010 and still ties as the fourth highest-rated high school boys basketball player more than a decade later.

As a high schooler, Barnes went undefeated in 53 games (26-0 as a junior and 27-0 as a senior). He also led Ames to back-to-back state championship seasons, scoring 24 points in the final as a junior and 19 points in the final as a senior. In his senior season alone, he was averaging 27.1 points, 10.4 rebounds, four assists and four steals. He finished high school with 1,787 career points. His other accolades included being named co-MVP with Kyrie Irving in the 2010 Jordan Brand Classic and co-MVP in the 2010 McDonald’s All-American Game.

Barnes chose North Carolina over the likes of Duke, Iowa State, Kansas, Oklahoma and UCLA. In living up to the hype with the Tar Heels, Barnes was taken as the No. 7 overall pick by the Golden State Warriors in the 2012 NBA Draft. Today, the 30-year-old Sacramento Kings player has one NBA championship under his belt – which he won with the Warriors in 2015.
