Oldest coaches to win the NCAA men’s basketball tournament

5. John Wooden (64 years, five months, 17 days)

In what would be the last championship of his illustrious career, Wooden led his Bruins to a 92-85 victory over Kentucky in the 1975 national title game. The win marked the tenth championship for Wooden, all with UCLA.

At age 64, Wooden was the second-oldest coach to win a national title. By the time he won his final championship, Wooden had already been inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame, being enshrined in 1973.
