5. Gaston Moore, QB

With eyes focused on likely starting quarterback Joe Milton and incoming freshman Nico Iamaleava this offseason, the walk-on redshirt junior quarterback had flown seemingly under the radar. After a freshman season at UCF, Moore has used the last few years to learn the Tennessee offense, which has provided early returns heading into his redshirt junior year. The 6-foot-2 quarterback was 8-for-11 for 94 yards and two touchdowns during the weekend’s action and provides the Volunteers another solid option at the quarterback position. Moore will still likely enter the year third on the depth chart but his progression has been noticeable.
