Which 5 NBA superstars could be plotting a trade request?
Karl Anthony-Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves
Minnesota made its all-in move with the Rudy Gobert trade last offseason. This resulted in getting knocked out by the Denver Nuggets in five games in the opening round of the playoffs. So what is next? Anthony Edwards looked like a budding star this postseason and Rudy Gobert’s contract does not have the best value at the moment. That leaves Anthony-Towns as the odd man out.
The former No. 1 overall pick served as the face of the franchise for years, but now it seems like that torch is being passed to Edwards. It could make sense for both sides to pursue trade opportunities this summer.
"I think [Knicks] should trade [Julius Randle]… From a talent perspective particularly come Playoff time, I'd rather have Karl-Anthony Towns."
