5 most dominant pitcher outings in NCAA Tournament history

3. Kumar Rocker, Vanderbilt vs. Duke (2019)

Vanderbilt had lost 18-5 in its first game against Duke in the super regional and needed a win to keep the Commodores’ season alive. With the No. 2 team in the nation for most of the season on the brink of elimination, Rocker delivered in spectacular fashion. The Vandy ace pitched a complete game with 19 strikeouts and only walked two batters as the Commodores won 3-0. Rocker threw 131 pitches and finished the game by striking out the last four Blue Devil batters. Vanderbilt would go on to win the CWS that year and Rocker was named MVP.
