With only one year left, perhaps Owen would want to take a chance at winning a national championship and she’d have no better chance to win one than with the Sooners. Given its three straight national titles, Oklahoma will likely be competing for yet another one next year and is always looking to add to an already strong roster.
The most difficult part about this option is the fit. Yes, Owen would’ve led the Sooners in many of their offensive categories, but that was against lesser competition and with a roster loaded with talent from top to bottom and a new class of top-end freshmen coming in for next season, would Owen be able to find a role? That would be the big question.
