NFL Hall of Famers who went from millionaires to bankruptcy

Lawrence Taylor

Taylor earned about $50 million during his 13 seasons in the NFL (1981-1993). The 1999 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee has filed for bankruptcy twice.

Taylor filed for personal Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in 1998 (around the time he entered rehab), according to The New York Times. The bankruptcy documents showed that he was one year behind on the mortgage payments on his $605,000 home. He would go on to file for bankruptcy again in 2009 to avoid foreclosure on his home, according to TIME. Few can forget that he once started a company called All-Pro Products that became a bust and that his stake in the company was at one point worth over $100 million. Taylor even suffered the consequences after the IRS caught him committing tax fraud

Today, Taylor’s net worth is $200,000, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
