10 longest win streaks to start a season in NFL history
T-5. 2005 Indianapolis Colts, 2005
The first team on this list to not make it to the championship game, the Colts were well on their way to a deep postseason run to begin the year, rattling off 13 consecutive victories. However, the team stumbled at home against the then-San Diego Chargers 26-17, ending their streak. After making the postseason with a 14-2 record and the No. 1 seed in the AFC, the Colts were eliminated by the eventual Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers following a missed field goal at the end of regulation.
